Are you an experienced finance specialist looking for a new contract opportunity?
ASA Recruitment are currently recruiting a Payroll Advisor to join the finance function of a reputable public sector client in the Scottish Central Belt.
Payroll Advisor Duties:
- Maintain and update all payroll data for existing staff, new starts and leavers
- Production of year end returns, P60’s and other day to day essential documentation
- To ensure the completion and accuracy of all Payroll data entered into the system.
- Oversee the complete payroll process
- Handling payroll queries over email, phone and face to face regarding SSP, SMP etc.
- To assist the delivery and provision of a range of reports to managers and central teams
- Support the Payroll Manager as required.
Payroll Advisor Requirements:
- Substantial experience of working within a Payroll team.
- Ability to work in a pressurised time sensitive environment
- Highly organised with an ability to provide clear, appropriate and unambiguous advice
- Strong numeracy skills
- System implementation experience
- Experience working in local government/public sector finance role is desirable
