Are you an experienced finance specialist looking for a new contract opportunity?

ASA Recruitment are currently recruiting a Payroll Advisor to join the finance function of a reputable public sector client in the Scottish Central Belt.

Payroll Advisor Duties:

• Maintain and update all payroll data for existing staff, new starts and leavers
• Production of year end returns, P60’s and other day to day essential documentation
• To ensure the completion and accuracy of all Payroll data entered into the system.
• Oversee the complete payroll process
• Handling payroll queries over email, phone and face to face regarding SSP, SMP etc.
• To assist the delivery and provision of a range of reports to managers and central teams
• Support the Payroll Manager as required.

Payroll Advisor Requirements:

• Substantial experience of working within a Payroll team.
• Ability to work in a pressurised time sensitive environment
• Highly organised with an ability to provide clear, appropriate and unambiguous advice
• Strong numeracy skills
• System implementation experience
• Experience working in local government/public sector finance role is desirable
