ASA Recruitment are working alongside a very well-known and large public sector client who are currently recruiting for a Finance Officer to join their team as soon as possible in the Scottish Central belt
A Finance Officer’s Main duties:
- To ensure all financial records are maintained and reported correctly, and to provide reliable and timely information to management on performance against budgets.
- Preparation of robust financial information and reports Assist with the production of monthly management accounts
- Reconciliation of transactions, control accounts and balance sheet
- Assist with preparation of final accounts and financial reports
- Ensure all monthly reconciliations are up to date, covering both preparation and review of reconciliations completed by others, review fixed asset register and VAT Returns, provide ad hoc guidance and advice as required.
- Assist with finance training across the organisation and assist in the reviews of finance processes.
The Requirements for a Finance Officer role:
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar finance role.
- Working knowledge of financial ledger systems and Excel
- Strong analytic and reconciliation skills.
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and work on own initiative, identify key issues and deliver a range of tasks within strict deadlines.
- Great communication skills (written and verbal) and experience with stakeholder management.
