IT Infrastructure Project Manager

Are you an experienced Project Manager ready for your next contract in the Scottish public sector?

Our client is looking for an IT Infrastructure Project Manager to deliver completion of O365 migration, Exchange online migration, video conferencing solutions and a replacement VPN. You will be responsible for project logistics, application development and guiding stakeholders and staff through the project lifecycle to enable delivery.

Outline of the role:

The primary purpose of this project management role is to lead, oversee and ensure the successful delivery and management of a Digital Workplace Transformation project that will equip our people with the digital technology and capability to support our enterprise mobility, location neutral and hot-desking flexible working priorities.

You will use your knowledge and experience of project management methodologies in delivering IT solutions to lead with complex and integrated IT projects across the programme portfolio, adapting the project management methods, practices and controls needed to ensure successful outcomes. You will use your acquired IT technical knowledge and enterprise experience to engage authoritatively and effectively with IT colleagues and external suppliers to devise and plan the required solutions. The transformation outputs that you will be responsible for delivery are with internal IT staff and an external technology partner are:

1. Migration of the remaining Microsoft Office 365 business productivity applications;

2. Replacement product for Direct Access – delivery of always on VPN.

3. Migration from Exchange 2016 to Exchange online

4. Microsoft encryption products.

5. Innovative video conferencing systems, initially for key meeting rooms.

Essential Experience:

· You will have experience of project management and in delivering complex and wide ranging IT infrastructure projects across digital programme portfolio.
· You will have experience of engaging authoritatively and effectively with IT colleagues and external suppliers to devise and plan the required solutions, tasks and activities.
· Ideally you will have experience of successfully delivery Windows 10 upgrades and data and workload migrations from on-premise to the cloud, with particular focus and experience of Microsoft 365 migration projects.
