Corporate Communications Manager

ASA are currently looking for a Corporate Communications Manager for our client based in Dundee. This a temporary position with a period of 6 months. This post is full-time with 37 hours per week from Monday to Friday with a competitive day rate.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the our client’s busy Communications and Marketing team. The successful candidate will be required to support the ongoing work, but also help with the initial set up of the team.

Occasional travel may be required between our client’s other offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Train fares/tickets are provided to facilitate travel by public transport.

The main duties of the Corporate Communications Manager include:
* Source, write, edit and manage high quality content for a range of our client’s internal and corporate channels.
* Manage ongoing development of corporate website and intranet content.
* Provide credible and authoritative communications advice and support to colleagues, including senior leaders.
* Develop and create website content within the parameters of our client’s Corporate Plan, using effective tools for analysis and data comparison to drive continuous improvement.
* Use insight and analysis to develop and deliver creative communications plans to promote internal corporate priority work streams across the organisation, advising on the best messages, methods and channels to reach and influence audiences both internally and externally.
* Work pro-actively on an account management model with priority internal work streams to promote policy and activity to colleagues and identify any potential reputational risks, devising external corporate communications strategies.
* Work flexibly with colleagues in our client’s creative services and media relations teams to deliver an integrated external and internal communications model across multiple platforms and channels.
* Project manage second phase of development of corporate website.
* Contribute to specification for long term strategic solution for our client’s intranet.

The main requirements of the Corporate Communications Manager include:

* Currently have or are willing to obtain a current Basic Disclosure from Disclosure Scotland.
* Qualification in communication, digital communication, marketing, journalism or equivalent experience.
* Current or recent experience of working in a senior role in a communications environment, using insight to identify target audiences, and setting/delivering on communications/engagement objectives using a wide range of different channels.
* Proven track record of delivery across communications, campaigns and digital channels, using a programme of continuous improvement and learning.
* Extensive experience of media relations.
* Experience of working well with stake holders at various levels of seniority (internally and externally), with an ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
* Experience of project/programme management.
* Excellent organisation skills and ability to coordinate communications activity being delivered across multiple teams.
