Programme Controls Planner

Description

Do you have hands- on experience of planning and scheduling on complex transformational programmes? We are seeking a Programme Controls Planner to provide expert support on our clients’ BREXIT transformation programme. Based in Edinburgh but initially working remotely, this Programme Controls Planner post if for 3 months with the option to extend thereafter.

Main duties:

§ Providing expert programme planning and controls support and lead in the development of the planning processes, controls and plans; supporting on risk management; dependencies; status reporting and programme controls
§ To develop, maintain and progress quality programme plans / schedules in line with the functional processes and BREXIT transformation programme requirements. Supporting Programme Mng. / SRO as required (75% of time)
§ Demonstrate through agreed performance indicators the efficiency and effectiveness of the MS Project plans / schedules developed and utilised. Supporting us by creating, and maintaining Programme POAPs / Roadmaps
§ As the Programme Controls Planner you will also create detailed delivery plans in the support of risks and recommend solutions (10% of time). By working with senior team members, you will agree key milestones, activities and resource requirements ensuring that conflicts are identified at the earliest possible stage

Essential:

§ Expert skillsets of detailed planning in MS Project 2010 & 2016 is essential (ideally over 10,000 lines)
§ Strong analytical and reporting skills. Experience of analysing project plans, programme dependency management, baseline management and resource usage across a programme portfolio. Building programme plans from scratch
§ Proven ability to apply sound logic when translating information into a logical sequence of events (planning), which require fully linked dependencies
§ Proficient in programme and project risk and issue management
