ASA Recruitment are working with large scale public sector client in Glasgow to find a Senior External Communications Manager to work across a programme of work that will have ramifications for every household in Scotland.

The Senior External Communications Manager Role:

• Will see you working as part of a brand new Government directorate in a rare senior communications contract role
• You’ll be managing an established team of five professionals, constantly developing effective and efficient ways of working
• You’ll be trusted to draft communication plans for an integral new government directorate through to approval
• Delivering both proactive and reactive media activity with other public sector bodies and external clients
• Provide credible and authoritative communications advice and support to colleagues, including senior leaders.

Successful candidates will need:

• A degree level qualification in traditional or digital communications
• Fantastic organisational skills
• The ability to lead a team in a fast paced, established communications environment
• Extensive experience of media operations
• Public Sector experience would be advantageous
