Technical Business Analyst

Description

Our client in Aberdeen are looking to recruit a Technical Business Analyst on a 6 month placement. The postholder will have a strong solution development background and will be required to facilitate, identify and gather business and technical requirements as part of an organisational digital review process. The Technical Business Analyst will work independently, but will liaise closely with the Information Technology team, Information & Records Management representatives, and the Digital Steering Group. It is expected that a degree of knowledge transfer will be carried out throughout the duration of this appointment, with responsibility for business process modelling and Business Intelligence solutions handed to IT / Data teams before completion

The typical working week will be 37 hours ( Monday to Friday ) on a PAYE day rate of £148 along with holiday accrual. The role will initially be remote working with a return to work based in the Aberdeen office when current Covid 19 restrictions are lifted

Main duties of the role:

* Lead a scoping exercise that will lead to the replacement of a business critical system, used to monitor the official controls of meat production (50%)
* Assist in the introduction of a corporate Data Strategy, and associated works – e.g. scoping the development of an open data portal (15%)
* Pro-actively engage with Business Stream Leads and other key personnel to identify strategic requirements, opportunities and threats, and propose appropriate actions (15%)
* Work with IT department, Digital Steering Group and others (as appropriate) to develop and implement a new Digital Strategy (10%)
* Provide specialist project support as required by Corporate Services duties (5%)
* Provide strategic insight throughout the organisation on behalf of the Corporate Services division (5%)
