Financial Accountant

Description

ASA are recruiting for a Financial Accountant on behalf of our client based in Inverness. This is a temporary assignment with a duration of approximately 6 months. It is full-time hours with an hourly pay rate of £15.00.

The successful candidate will need to provide accountancy support to the Financial services team.

The main responsibilities of the Financial Accountant will include:

* Assisting with the preparation of the company’s annual accounts
* Preparing lead schedules in support of annual accounts
* Reconciliation of ledger accounts and reports
* Assisting with the preparation of company subsidiary and joint venture annual accounts
* Prepare various capital reports as directed by Capital and Resources Planning
* Liaison with the company or subsidiary auditors
* Ensure appropriate compliance with all aspects of company governance, including risk management and company audit and compliance requirements

The essential requirements for the Financial Accountant include:

* Qualified accountant or equivalent
* Three years relevant accountancy experience
* Experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workload
* Experience of working as part of a team but also on own initiative
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
* A high standard of IT literacy
