Are you a Senior Road Officer who has working knowledge of public sector procurement procedures, roads and traffic legislation and other best practice documentation? Assisting in the delivery and development of a full range of Road services, you will project manage the 3rd party delivery of public utility activities to ensure maximum efficiency, and improve journey times. Based in East Lothian, this contract is initially for 6 months.
Duties include:
· Monitoring permits and consents
· Working closely with collaborating organisations and service providers
· Drafting technical and financial reports
· Representing the organisation at local, regional and national forums
Essential requirements:
· Proven project management background with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical persons
· Knowledge of roads standards and associated legislation
· Minimum degree qualification in Civil Engineering, project management or related discipline
· Thorough knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation
