Are you an experienced Head of IT or Chief Technology Officer on the market for a new role in central Edinburgh?

What will you be doing?

· Identifying competitive advantages and technological trends
· Evaluating technical efficiency and makes changes as necessary
· Working with all departments in the use of new technologies to streamline company policies and rules
· Conducting research into improving the technological assets of the firm
· Handling IT budgets to make sure there are no unnecessary expenditures
· Developing and directing all networking safeguards to reduce the risk of outside breaches and protecting sensitive internal and external client information
· Developing and implementing all internal communication systems, such as email and instant messaging
· Planning and implementation of proper Internet usage policies for employees
· Evaluating new technology and making recommendations on technological solutions
· Using technological assets to help ease use for employees and clients
· Handling any digital media assets
· Presenting to the board of directors and Chief Executive Officer
· Developing and improving the company’s website to increase site traffic
· Directing the development and implementation of policies for disaster recovery plans and GDPR

· Experience of project management, BI and reporting tools (Jira, Pentaho)
