Description

We are seeking a skilled procurement practitioner for the position of Procurement Officer for our public sector client in Fife.

This Procurement Officer post will be based in Dunfermline, accessible by public transport, for a 10 month contract; working Monday to Friday over a 35 hour week. The rate of pay will be £28,000 per annum. Collaborating closely with the procurement manager, you will be working on procurement projects and providing guidance to internal stakeholders across the organisation.

Responsibilities:

· Leading procurement projects
· Overseeing production of procurement documentation for quotations and tenders above and below the threshold for EU Procurement Directives
· Ensuring compliance with public procurement legislation and company procurement policy
· Providing advice and guidance to internal stakeholders at all levels regarding purchasing policies, procedures, practices, laws and regulations
· Supporting the procurement manager in ensuring compliance

Requirements:

· Experience working as a procurement practitioner actively working towards MCIPS
· End-to-end tendering experience, preferably within the public sector
· Previous use of Purchase to Pay systems
· Effective organisation and prioritisation skills to manage a workload
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills
· Comprehensive IT skills including Microsoft Office and Outlook
