Are you an Estates Surveyor who is a member of RICS and has public sector experience? We are seeking an Estates Surveyor to assist in the provision of a Valuation and Estate Management Service for all our clients’ properties and other property related matters. Based in Midlothian, this Estates Surveyor contract is initially for 3 months.
Main duties:
* Carry out surveys and inspections of all types of heritable property with a view to rent review, marching in/out reports and rating etc
* Prepare valuation reports for rent reviews and Asset Valuations for consideration by the Property Investment Manager
* Negotiate and conclude rent reviews, set and recover the service charge including the preparation of evidence for referral to an Arbiter or expert if appropriate
* Prepare schedules of condition and dilapidations as appropriate
* Assist in the development of internal information systems to support efficient working practices in order to achieve best value; research and recommend new techniques for the assessment and analysis of property information in Midlothian
Essential criteria:
* A degree or equivalent qualification in relevant discipline
* Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
* Experience in property management and asset valuations
* Competent in the drafting of reports and other documents
* Fully conversant with legislation and case-law affecting property matters
