Financial Controller

Description

We are delighted to be working in partnership with a highly successful company who are looking to strengthen their existing team with a Financial Controller. The Financial Controller will work closely with the board to ensure key financial reports are delivered and to assist with the commercial and strategic decision making process required to grow the business.

As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:

• Overseeing the preparation of management accounts including full balance sheet, profit and loss and variance analysis
• Preparing the statutory consolidation of accounts for presentation
• Providing financial information to budget holders
• Leading and developing the finance teams
• Supporting the Finance Director with the management of investments
• Managing and overseeing the VAT reporting
• Working on the annual budgets and forecasting
• Dealing with contract negotiations and pricing
• Working closely with finance and non-finance stakeholders – internal and external

The successful candidate will:

• Be a qualified accountant (ideally with minimum 2 years PQE)
• Have excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude
• Be confident in presenting financial data to non-finance staff
• Be a self-starter with a natural commercial awareness

This role offers the potential to enhance your experience and potentially grow into the Finance Director post in due course. Due to the nature of the business, it requires a Financial Controller who is hands on but can also operate at a senior level.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join a well-established company who have ambitious growth plans. Salary on offer is £45k – £50k depending on experience + benefits.
