If you are an experienced Practitioner, who is looking for a new challenge, this could be the opportunity for you!
For a role based in North Lanarkshire, we are looking for a dedicated, flexible Practitioner who would like to make the progression into a permanent position.
You must also hold a minimum of an SVQ Level 2 or above.
You would need to have a minimum of 6 month’s relevant experience in a care environment and be a real “people person”. The main quality required is a genuine desire to help other people and the ability to get on with people from all backgrounds. Driving is an advantage but not essential.
A typical day could involve assisting a service user in choosing clothes and getting ready for the day; enjoying a discussion and encouraging different methods of communication, or taking them to see their favourite team play football!
You will be required to administer medication as required and ensure any other complex needs of the service user are met. We want all our service users to feel empowered and capable – which is where you come in!
You will be an excellent communicator, able to offer practical advice and be able to display patience and good humour!
Our leading Scottish charity client strives to ensure that those with various disabilities are given the opportunity to experience the things in life that most of us take for granted!
All candidates will be subject to a full disclosure (PVG) check and be able to demonstrate characteristics and personality to fit the position.
We are interviewing immediately so do not hesitate to get in touch! Due to growing demand we have an attractive referral scheme in place too!
