Head of Test Services

Are you experienced in designing and executing a wide range of testing techniques?

ASA has a unique opportunity for a Head of Test Services to join our public sector client for an initial 6 month contract based in central Edinburgh.

Responsibilities:

· Provide Test leadership and expertise
· Act as a point of escalation for the test team and manage project risks with stakeholders
· Support the projects by making sure they have access to the relevant resources and test tools
· Review test standards and procedure to optimise test delivery
· Engage with external supplier(s) to ensure compliance with the Programme Test Strategy
· Be accountable for all Test Artefacts and activities across the Programme; System Test, SIT, UAT, NFT & ORT
· Lead investigative work into problems and opportunities in existing processes and create recommendations
· Manage the internal Test Team and third party suppliers test team

Requirements:

· Able to design and execute a wide range of testing techniques for functional testing and clearly communicate to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
· Able to design and execute for standard non-functional testing
· A working knowledge of Relational Databases (MS-SQL, Oracle) and SAS would be highly beneficial
· A working knowledge JIRA and Test Management Tools such as ALM, JIRA Add-Ons
· A working knowledge of non-functional test tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, Winrunner etc.) would be highly beneficial
· A current Basic Disclosure certificate
