IT Infrastructure Project Manager

Are you an experienced IT Infrastructure Project Manager looking to take on a contract opportunity within a prestigious large scale project in the public sector?

ASA are looking for an IT Infrastructure Project Manager to join the public sector in Ayrshire. This contract opportunity would be perfect for an individual comfortable executing and completing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.

The Project Manager Role:

• Adopt a structured project management approach, by utilising techniques and disciplines to support infrastructure implementation and management of risk
• Ensure project delivery team has the knowledge, skills and abilities required to effectively develop and progress project plan and ensure promotion of continuous development of these
• Ensure that project outputs meet requirements and are to the appropriate quality, on time and within budget
• Produce and present progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations as required

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor capital and revenue budgets as assigned and contribute to budget development
• Lead, or contribute to, the preparation of cross-service business development plans, as required
• Ensure the effective management and leadership of employees, where appropriate
• Prepare and co-ordinate reports for the client or working parties and to attend these meetings as required
• Undertake any other reasonably required duties as instructed by management or someone acting on their behalf, in addition to the role specific tasks and responsibilities

Successful candidates for the Project Manager role will require:

• Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
• Managing and delivering change
• Project management methodologies
• Supporting significant ICT project delivery
• Managing key strategic risks and issues within change projects

This is a contract position that falls inside of IR35
