Data Migration Analyst

Description

Our client within the public sector in Edinburgh is looking for Data Migration Analyst. This would be a 12 month fixed term contract starting in January 2020.

The Data Migration Analyst is required to join the Business Analysis team to develop data migration specifications describing the extract, transform, cleanse, validate and load activities.
This will be applied to the data in migration from source systems to the Oracle SaaS platform. In addition, the analyst will support the overall implementation of Oracle Fusion SaaS solution.
Involving the design of a data archive in support of legacy systems decommissioning activities.

The Data Migration Analyst will play a key role in the Core Systems programme, undertaking cross cutting activity in addition to the mainstream analysis activity.

Essential Skills required:
* Previous experience of data migration and/or data analysis on a HR or Finance system implementation.
* The ability to work at a low level of detail while being able build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
* Experience of working in in an agile project environment with several projects and changing demands.
* Recent data migration analysis experience.
* Demonstrable experience of engagement in and completion of a major data migration project.

Desirable Skills required:
* Experience of Finance transactional business processes and management accounting.
* Experience of Human Resources business processes.
* Experience of data analysis, transformation and migration.
* Experience of Oracle Human Capital Management, Enterprise Resource Planning (Financial/Procurement), Fusion, Planning and Budgeting Cloud.

Please note this role may require a Basic Disclosure and core hours of 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
