Deputy Facilities Manager

Description

Are you an experienced Facilities Manager who is successful in delivering effective services across a wide ranging estate? Based in Edinburgh, we are seeking a Deputy Facilities Manager to manage six buildings, three of which are iconic Grade A listed buildings that sit in the heart of Edinburgh’s World Heritage site, for an initial period of 6 months.

Working as part of the team who are responsible for all accommodation and facilities management services for customers and staff, your duties will include:

· Effectively communicating with staff and contractors to ensure planned projects and changes are conveyed successfully
· Committing to exceptional Health & Safety, and access practice to ensure familiarity and compliance with our clients” Health & Safety policies, procedures and guidelines
· Providing project management support for refurbishment projects, building relocations and any other building and facilities programmes across the full lifecycle of the projects
· Supporting a user led approach to building improvements through stakeholder groups
· Monitoring the performance of service delivered by both in house and external contractors

Essential requirements:

· Membership of a relevant professional body i.e. BIFM, CIOB, IWFM, etc.
· Strong project management skills with the ability to manage a diverse project workload
· Proven ability in developing and maintaining successful stakeholder relationships, with a strong customer service focus to ensure any issues are addressed and resolved
· A thorough, practical knowledge of all aspects of Health & Safety regulations and the preparation of Risk Assessments
