Quantity Surveyor

Description

Are you a qualified Quantity Surveyor with knowledge of public authority procurement? We are seeking an experienced PQS to perform all pre and post contract duties with minimum supervision. Working 35 hours per week and based in East Lothian, this Quantity Surveyor post is for an initial 6 month period.

Duties will include Employer’s Agent along with a traditional PQS role for a variety of projects such as:

· New social housing
· Housing alterations/improvements
· New schools/nurseries
· Sport and leisure facility upgrades

Essential:

· Member of RICS (MRICS)
· Proficient with electronic billing systems (Masterbill preferred)
· Knowledge of 2011 SBCC suite of building contracts
· Private practice experience including cost planning, budget estimation, BQ preparation, contract preparation, tender reporting and preparing valuations
