City of Glasgow College Presentation
ASA were recently asked to give a recruitment presentation to 2nd year HND hospitality students from City of Glasgow College.
We spoke to the students about recruitment in the hospitality industry; from processes, workforce planning and strategy to preparing for the job market. We were delighted with the lively discussion and interaction the subjects raised.
We have a long standing relationship with the college and sponsor their Food and Hospitality Awards annually, giving out the Student Placement and International Student of the Year awards.
We work together to give hospitality students real life experience in some of Glasgows finest venues allowing them to make professional connections as well as some extra income to help fund their studies. We are very proud to have them working with us to deliver a first class service to our Clients.
The hospitality industry is a fast paced, exciting sector to work in but we are facing a massive skills shortage with demand for staff outstripping supply. We are committed to working with colleges and young people to ensure we are developing Scotlands future industry leaders.
